DESIGN ENGINEER

Description

  • MEMS sensing elements between the Sensor Operations Department and the manufacturing departments responsible for Subassembly and Final Assembly.
  • This is a technical position requiring skills found in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. Primary responsibilities will include approval of sensors for use in transducer designs, as well as various production optimization issues.
  • The majority of the day-to-day work will involve performing calculations and analyses to determine if a particular sub-group of sensing elements is appropriate for manufacture to the specifications of a particular customer order.
  • Training for the position will involve an in-depth examination of sensor design parameters and how they ultimately affect the sensor output in various sensing applications.

Requirements: 

  • The ideal candidate will have some background in MEMS or microsystem engineering, preferably with some time spent in a microfabrication facility.
  • The candidate must have excellent verbal communications skills, and at least a Bachelor’s degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

Rate: 60-70k annually
