Environmental Health and Safety Engineer
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ENGINEER
Description
- Implement projects that help Company achieve environmental, health, and safety goals
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety policies and standards
- Prepare environmental documents and reports required by various internal parties and governmental agencies, including hazardous waste (RCRA), community right-to-know, air quality, wastewater, emergency response and stormwater
- Develop and administer safety training programs to assemblers, technicians and other plant personnel
- Perform job hazard analysis on current and proposed operations to identify risks and coordinate their mitigation
- Support process and production engineers and unit supervisors on environmental issues
- Collect and analyze data in support of corporate sustainability activities
- All other duties assigned by Supervisor
Education and Skill Requirements:
- BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing
